Dysregulation of Amino Acid Transporters in a Rat Model of TLR7-Mediated Maternal Immune Activation

نویسندگان

چکیده

Maternal immune activation (MIA) during pregnancy is linked to neurodevelopmental disorders in humans. Similarly, the TLR7 agonist imiquimod alters neurodevelopment rodents. While mechanisms underlying MIA-mediated changes are unknown, they could involve dysregulation of amino acid transporters essential for neurodevelopment. Therefore, we sought determine nature such transporter both imiquimod-treated rats and human placentas infection. Pregnant received on gestational day (GD)14. Transporter expression was measured fetal brains via qPCR (GD14.5) immunoblotting (GD16). To monitor function, brain levels were by HPLC GD16. Gene cortex female further examined RNAseq GD19. In placentas, suspected active infection associated with decreased ASCT1 SNAT2 protein expression. rats, also male while EAAT2 placentas. CAT3 increased brains. Consistent this, altered brains, demonstrated several genes implicated autism. Thus, pregnant similar occur This suggests that may contribute effects mediated MIA toward

Prenatal zinc supplementation ameliorates hippocampal astrocytes activation and inflammatory cytokines expression induced by lipopolysaccharide in a rat model of maternal immune activation

Objective: There is evidence that gestational exposure to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) results in fetal zinc deficiency, and eventually neurodevelopmental abnormalities. In this study, we utilized a rat model of maternal immune activation (MIA) to investigate the possible neuroprotective effect of zinc supplementation throughout pregnancy on hippocampal astrocytes activation as well as inflammatory...

Regulation of amino acid transporters in the rat remnant kidney.

BACKGROUND Partial renal ablation is associated with compensatory renal growth, significant azotaemia, a significant increase in fractional excretion of sodium and changes in solute transport. The present study evaluated the occurrence of adaptations in the remnant kidney, especially in renal amino acid transporters and sodium transporters and their putative role in sodium handling in the early...

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

Amino-acid transporters in T-cell activation and differentiation

T-cell-mediated immune responses aim to protect mammals against cancers and infections, and are also involved in the pathogenesis of various inflammatory or autoimmune diseases. Cellular uptake and the utilization of nutrients is closely related to the T-cell fate decision and function. Research in this area has yielded surprising findings in the importance of amino-acid transporters for T-cell...
